The Kneeling Stool

The Multi Balans stool was developed for Varier of Oslo, Norway by Peter Opsvik to encourage active sitting. Both the seat and kneeling pad of this Scandinavian classic had been worn through to the frame through years of use.

The perished foam was discarded and replaced with reconstituted foam under a half inch layer of new foam. A woollen interliner was added to comply with current fire regulations. The top cover is a polyester diamond weave, treated with a fire-retardant backing.
